The Equation of Becoming, " Momentum" is a study in mass and velocity, p = mv, and in the idea that every final version begins as motion. Mass without velocity is inertia. Velocity without mass is drift. Between the two, the House finds its direction and inspiration. 

Draft XX began with a banker who knew nothing of fashion, and a habit of small wins made in the right direction. Around that velocity gathered the mass: the people he met, the capital he could draw together, the relationships formed in the early days and through his years in New York. The House is what remained when the two met.

A/W 26 carries that equation into the garment. Fabrics of texture, weight and drape hold the mass. Soft tailoring, unlined and unpadded, with stitching left exposed, gives it velocity. Reduction governs every decision, removing what does not serve the cloth until only intention remains.

To those writing a final version and unsure where it begins: Just Begin and "Momentum" will lead you to the rest. This is our message to you, expressed in cloth.
